Saraspe Seafoods is a third-generation California family fishery that has been servicing San Diego since the early 50s. This company is whole heartedly built by fishermen to bring like fishermen together and to reactivate the seafood system. Their seafood is caught with love, passion, and pride. They are widely recognized as a San Diego industry leader due to utilizing responsible harvest methods and practices within the seafood industry.
Needless to say, I was ecstatic when they reached out to seek help in giving an identity to the company. Custom hand-drawn typefaces were essential to reflect the multi-generational heritage of the company and to bring a timeless element to the brand. These typefaces paired with hand-drawn illustrations such as the "Saltwater Cowboy" and "Lobster Legend" are just a couple lockups that were created to bring a fresh and exciting look that could be approachable by any age.
